Answers to your wedding cake and custom cake questions!

How do I order a wedding cake or custom cake?

Please fill out an inquiry form and we’ll go from there. The next step is to schedule a short phone call to discuss your design!


When should I order my wedding cake?

Because of the care and attention to detail that go into our cakes, we have limited availability. We recommend securing your wedding date on our calendar six to nine months in advance. We always try to accommodate orders, but once a week is fully booked we stop taking orders. Alternatively, a $100 “Save the Date” non-refundable retainer (deducted from finalized order) can reserve your date, and your tasting and consultation can be done at a later time.


When should I order my custom event cake?

The sooner, the better! Our calendar fills up quickly, so we recommend inquiring at least two to three months in advance of your event. For events in June-October, it’s best to inquire several months prior. All orders must be finalized at least one month in advance of your event date.


How much will my cake cost?

Pricing is extremely dependent on design, but all cakes start at $6 per serving and go up from there. We will give you a custom quote once we’ve discussed your event or wedding cake design together.


Is there an order minimum?
Do you require a retainer?

Yes. All cakes have an $250 minimum. A 50% retainer of your order estimate is required to secure your date.


How do the tastings work?

Tastings are $30 and include four samples of our most popular cakes along with your choice of frosting and filling samples. After you taste our cakes, we’ll talk through your ideas and inspiration and design your dream wedding cake or custom special event cake.


Do you deliver your wedding cakes and special event cakes?

Yes! Delivery is highly encouraged for all cakes but strongly recommended for multi-tiered cakes. Fees vary based on cake size, distance to be traveled, and overall setup, if needed. Delivery and setup will be discussed during your design process. Quotes generally start at $50.


Can I pick up and transport my cake?

Yes, pickup is available by scheduled appointment. If your cake is more than two tiers, it is strongly recommend to be delivered — we want your cake to arrive safely and in one piece!
If you decide you would like to transport your order, we will discuss helpful tips and provide a detailed info sheet on how best to ensure a positive experience. Please note Tiny Bake Shop is not responsible for your cake after it leaves the premises.


What is your cancellation policy?

For cancellations with more than 3 weeks notice before completion, the retainer is non-refundable and any specially ordered items and work already undertaken in accordance with your order is chargeable. For cancellations with less than 3 weeks notice before the completion date, the full balance for your order is charged.
